For centuries, art has been the window to understand Mongolian people, the cultures, and the ways of life of that particular society. Before the 20th century, most fine arts in Mongolia had a religious function, heavily influenced by the religious point of view. Bronze sculptures usually showed Buddhist deities. All forms of fine arts flourished after "Perestroika" in the late 1980s. It gives you the chance to see how the creative minds of 21 century Mongolia thought, explored, imagined, and envisioned today.
