STORY OF JAMOGRAND GROUP

It all began with cousins Batzorig, Batbayar, Bolor, and Battuya, who shared a vision for authentic Mongolian experiences. Their meeting with Onuki San, a successful Japanese entrepreneur, sparked the creation of Dream Gobi Lodge in 2008—the first yurt camp in the region with ensuite bathrooms, a groundbreaking solution in an area without infrastructure.


Jamo—a fusion of Japan and Mongolia—has grown over 16 years into a network of luxury lodges in Terelj National Park, Lake Khuvsgul, and beyond. We’ve also introduced a fresh, healthy meal deli in Ulaanbaatar and expanded into sustainable meat processing in the South Gobi and Khentii Province.


Today, JamoGrand Group employs over 100 staff across five regions of Mongolia, delivering excellence in both tourism and food. Across every venture, we uphold the same values and remain dedicated to the full enjoyment of our customers.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) is internationally recognized as the world’s leading quality management standard and has been implemented by over one million organizations in over 170 countries globally. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits. 
In Mongolia, there are many companies, mostly in manufacturing, that have been awarded the certificate but we are not aware of any tourism companies who are certified with ISO 9001:2015. Being certified with ISO 9001 will not only help us attract more customers and earn higher profits, but it is an essential precondition for the sustainable business we are aiming to establish.

Battuya Ishdorj is an experienced leader in meat and meat processing, actively contributing to the advancement of the industry. She is focused on establishing modern standards for meat processing in Mongolia and driving the sector forward.

With international exposure in Japan, Germany, and Inner Mongolia, she brings global expertise into practice. Under her leadership, the company has successfully implemented HACCP standards, ensuring high levels of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety, while building a strong reputation for quality in the industry.
