At the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa attended the Victory Day Parade for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow on May 9, 2025.

More than 11,000 Russian military personnel and over 1,500 troops from 13 countries, including Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, took part in the Victory Day Parade.

A military contingent from the Mongolian Armed Forces, led by Commander of Military Unit No. 032 of Mongolia, Lieutenant Colonel E. Bilegsaikhan, consisted of 28 officers, 50 non-commissioned officers, and two contracted military servicemen.

Last month, the military contingent of Mongolia trained alongside military units from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan at the Zvenigorod Military Resort and Rehabilitation Center under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

From the very first days of the Great Patriotic War under the slogans “Everything for Victory” and “Everything for the Frontline," the State, Government, and people of Mongolia provided all-around assistance to the Red Army of the Soviet Union, such as tank brigades, fighter squadrons, 500,000 horses, and 740 railcars of aid containing warm clothing made of wool and hide, meat, dairy products, and food supplies.
