Netflix’s reality competition Physical: Asia has drawn global attention to Mongolia following the country’s remarkable debut in the international spin-off of the hit Korean series Physical: 100. This marks the first time Mongolia has participated in a Netflix reality show, and the team made an impressive entrance, advancing all the way to the finals and securing second place.

The show, which aired from October to November 2025, introduced a multinational cast of elite athletes and attracted audiences around the world, including a fast-growing fan base in Mongolia. The Mongolian team’s performance quickly became one of the season’s standout storylines, showcasing the athletes’ strength, discipline, teamwork, and cultural pride on a global platform.

During the final stretch of the competition, the two remaining teams, Korea and Mongolia, shared a lighthearted moment during a communal dinner before the Final Quest. As the discussion turned to the prize money, Mongolia’s team captain, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan, playfully remarked, “If our team wins today and we get the prize money, we’ll buy all of you plane tickets to visit Mongolia.” Korea’s team captain, Kim Dong-hyun, responded with friendly banter: “I’m determined to do so with your own prize money.” The exchange became one of the season’s most memorable scenes, symbolizing the camaraderie between the two finalist teams.

Following the finale, plans were set in motion for Korean athletes Kim Dong-hyun and Amotti (Kim Jae-hong) to visit Mongolia, accompanied by a 14-member Netflix production crew. The purpose of the visit is to film a special feature related to the show, with Mongolia represented by national wrestler Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and circus artist Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir. Filming is expected to continue for 10 days.

The special feature will consist of four episodes. The first two are scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 24, 2025, followed by the final two episodes on December 31, 2025.

In addition to the finalist team’s upcoming collaboration, several other contestants have recently visited Mongolia. Australian parkour athlete Dom Tomato (Dominic Di Tommaso) and Korean freestyle wrestler Jang Eun-sil arrived in the country last week. Australian strongman Eddie Williams also visited Ulaanbaatar earlier on December 3, 2025, further fueling excitement among local fans.

Mongolia’s outstanding run in Physical: Asia has not only highlighted the country’s talented athletes but also expanded its presence on the global entertainment stage. As anticipation builds for the upcoming Netflix special, Mongolia’s first appearance on the streaming giant’s reality programming stands out as a milestone moment, one that has opened new doors for visibility, representation, and international cultural exchange.
