Nine white banners take place

Today marks the 2230th anniversary of Foundation of the first Mongolian Statehood, 815th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, and the 100th anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia. On its occasion, the ceremony of the Nine White Banners took place at the Sukhbaatar Square.

For Mongolians, the National Naadam is a symbol of unity and prosperity, a spiritual tradition of the Mongolian nation, a historical tradition of nomadic civilization and customs, and a value that should be celebrated forever.

However, this time, due to the pandemic, the government has postponed the festival until next years a better time comes. This decision is a humane and morally respectful decision to protect the lives and health of our children and people from potential dangers in our country.
