The elite event brought together 110 snipers representing 55 teams from 26 countries, including top-tier police and military units from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Competitors were challenged across 12 rigorous stages designed to test marksmanship, endurance, tactical decision-making, and teamwork under simulated high-stress combat scenarios.
Major Sh. Arvinbayar distinguished himself in the international field by securing third place in the individual sniper category, demonstrating world-class precision and composure throughout the competition.
Meanwhile, Major G. Ochirkhuu was honored with the prestigious “Best Fighter” award, presented to the competitor who best exemplifies tactical excellence, operational readiness, and resilience across all aspects of the tournament.
“This is a proud moment for the Mongolian police force,” said a spokesperson for the General Police Department. “Our officers not only competed alongside the best but also earned global recognition for their skill and discipline. Their achievements reflect the rigorous training and high standards upheld within our Special Operations units.”
The “Sharp Blade” competition, widely regarded as one of Asia’s most advanced sniper tournaments, provides a valuable platform for international cooperation and professional exchange among law enforcement and military personnel. The success of Majors Arvinbayar and Ochirkhuu is expected further to enhance Mongolia’s reputation within the global security community.
The General Police Department extends its congratulations to the officers for their exemplary performance and commends their contribution to Mongolia’s international standing in special operations and tactical training.
