1. Peace Deli
This is a budget-friendly local Mongolian people with average incomes eat. If you are in a hurry, then this is the right place for lunch. A good place to have a healthy home-style lunch is offered between 11:00 am-17:00 pm. Office workers and mall shoppers eat lunch here. Peace Deli is supplied with excellent quality meat from a meat factory that they own. Healthy eating and a friendly atmosphere will welcome you. A grab-and-go breakfast is also served in the morning 8:45 am-11:00 am for the busy office workers. Fresh bakeries are available. This is a convenient and family-style place in the heart of the city center.

2. Asiana central restaurant
This restaurant offers contemporary traditional Mongolian cuisine, Japanese cuisine, and Authentic Sichuan & Shandong cuisine located on the 3rd floor of the central tower which is a modern building overlooking the Sukhbaatar central square in the downtown that offers an excellent view. Each table had an electric hotplate on that you can place a cooking vessel and then you choose your ingredients from the menu. There are 2 branches in the city. Each of them has a long menu of tasty traditional dishes, and clean, atmospheric surroundings. Try out their different mix sets.

3. Bull hot pot restaurant
The Bull is a Mongolian authentic hot pot restaurant that has four chain restaurants. This is localized to the traditional Mongolian way of cooking dumplings and mutton soup that we believe strengthens immunization. Modern and clean swanky restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the Blue Mon building south of Mongolian National University and west of the University of Science and Technology. You can feel the vibe of young people since it is surrounded by universities. The menu is diverse with hot pot and other treats. It is a good place to visit because it is centrally located.

4. Namaste Indian restaurant
Waiters /waitresses in traditional Indian costumes welcome you and you might be under the impression that you are in India. 5. Sekitei Japanese restaurant

Yuna Korean restaurant is a family-style restaurant. Cozy environment with a wide selection of food. They offer delivery service. Mongolian’s restaurant is located on the 4th floor of Shangri-La Mall 200 m far from Sukhbaatar square. "Mongolian’s" serves traditional Mongolian and European cuisine in a museum-like atmosphere for a sophisticated dining experience. You will be taking a trip back to the XIII to XX era by visiting the Mongolian restaurant. The menu is extensive with lots of delicious choices. The quality of the food is excellent. It is worth waiting for the food.

9. Mellie’s café
Millie's Cafe is an ex-pat hang-out place located on the west side of the Choijin Lama Museum across Peace Avenue from Sukhbaatar Square. This is a well-lit, clean cafe that serves proper American/English food, club sandwiches, BLTs, and burgers. For breakfast eggs, hash browns, bacon, pancakes, toast, and coffee are all part of the meal. Service is fast and the coffee cup is refilled as needed. The price is moderate. A good place to have a breakfast or late afternoon sandwich. If you miss, your western food, this is the place.

10. Ayanchin Downtown restaurant
Ayanchin Downtown Restaurant is a Mongolian restaurant that is conveniently located on Olympic street downtown. They mainly offer Mongolian traditional meals along with vegan-friendly menus and their lunch menu special is famous among many office workers around there. They also serve delivery and takeout. It has a stunning view in the evening when you leave the restaurant it also contrasts with Choijin lama museum and other modern buildings.

Tipping Etiquette
In Mongolia, tipping in restaurants, cafes, and bars is not necessary or expected. If you enjoyed the service, a 10% tip is immensely appreciated by your server, but don't feel obligated to leave this unless the service was above and beyond. In that case, we recommended leaving a tip to acknowledge and encourage this type of customer service. Money is a great motivator, after all.
